Botanical Paintings

As an artist, my subject and medium encompasses natural life energy.
I connect intimately with this earth in various environments, becoming aware of every gift offered by Mother Nature.
I am passionately interested in the playful discovery of natural inks derived directly from this giving source.
Our earth is so giving, not only for life to flourish, but for creativity to be birthed.
Inspired by my first botanical dark room photograms, these works
celebrate the life that takes shapes and line work within each tendril and leaf in a plant.
I find playfulness between the area of detail and gestural, and a variety of mediums.

Commission Paintings

I work with clients who come to me with a specific idea or paintings in mind. I love taking my time and
working with the client in depth, incorporating something special, and in some cases making specific
natural paint for the piece. Most of these paintings are mixed media, incorporating watercolor,
acrylic, handmade materials, pastels, and inks. Click on an image to enlarge

If you or someone you know is interested in a beautiful, personal
creation, please reach out to me in the contact page and send me an email.

Abstract Landscape Paintings

My process of creating a landscape paintings stay long before the sketching or even the idea.
It starts with Mother Nature herself, and my awareness and engagement with
her offerings. The way it feels to be so present in her presence; her beautiful creations we
call rocks, trees, flowers and such. I take notice of how I interact with the environment
and it’s elements, harvest and gather natural supplies only if Mother Nature is abundant in
such source. And then the artistic process begins, often very intuitively, as I decipher
and convey a landscape in this new language with my hands.
